Fay Miller

Fay Miller arrived in Katherine late 1989 and fell in love with the lifestyle and the community spirit, deciding to make Katherine her home. She has been involved in a wide variety of community activities since that time, including social photographer, owning a tourist park and licensed general store, Chairperson and executive member of the Katherine Region Tourist Association, board member of NT Tourist Commission, board member of Tourism Training NT, board member of Katherine Hospital, and first elected as an Alderman to Katherine Town Council in 2002.  She was the Country Liberal Party member for Katherine in the Northern Territory Legislative Assembly from 2003 to 2008. She was deputy leader of the CLP for a period and served on the front bench. In March 2012, she was elected as mayor of Katherine and continues in this role today.
