John de Koning

John has lived in the Northern Territory for over 30 years working with both the Northern Territory and the Australian governments, predominantly in National Parks and Natural Resource management. During this time John has worked in the Katherine region, Kakadu and on Christmas Island.  He has worked extensively with Indigenous people in the Top End and has been involved in establishing joint management of National Parks both as an on-the-ground facilitator and at a policy level. John is currently a member of the Nitmiluk National Park Board of Management and the McArthur River Mine Community Benefits Trust.
