Kelly Beneforti started dancing with Tracks Dance Company in Darwin as a youth dancer and youth leader. She then completed a Bachelor of Dance at the Victorian College of the Arts in Melbourne (2011). After graduation she interned with experimental company BalletLab, worked with independent artists Jo Lloyd and Adelina Larsson, and was a founding member of dance collective Menagerie.

Kelly has also travelled frequently to Tasmania to collaborate with DRILL Performance Company, with which she maintains an ongoing professional relationship. Kelly has been an ArtStart recipient (Melbourne, New York, Darwin 2013), an Artist in Residence at Millner Primary (Darwin 2014), and undertaken an Early Career Residency with Lajamanu man Caleb Japanangka Patrick (Lajamanu, Darwin 2013/2014).

In Darwin, Kelly maintains links with dance students at Casuarina Senior College and Darwin High School as a guest teacher and choreographer, and continues to perform and collaborate as an independent artist, particularly with previous Tracks Dance Animateur Jess Devereux. In 2015, Kelly is the recipient of a Structured Mentorships grant through Community Partnerships, Australia Council for the Arts, and is an Artist at the Park, which is an initiative of the Territory Wildlife Park to support artists in making work within its environment. She is currently employed as Dance Animateur at Tracks Dance Company.
