Godinymayin Yijard Rivers Arts and Culture Centre Wants You (to be part of our team)!
Katherine’s favourite arts centre, non-profit cultural facility, and community gathering place is looking for casual staff, volunteers, and paid non-profit specialists to add to our team! Here at Godinymayin, we’re looking for talented, creative, and responsible people to fill various casual and fixed-term roles into the 2023 Dry Season—as we begin to build an expanded and even more dynamic facility)! Really fun volunteer opportunities are also available for locals with time to give, unique skill sets, and cultural and creative interests.
The paid casual possibilities at Godinymayin range from reception, front of house, and cafe positions to gallery exhibition and event support crew. And for the right person, full or part-time or roles—marketing and communications, project development, venue management, and arts education/programming leaders—are possible. Why not be part of our small but creative team—and help us build the most exciting regional arts facility in the entire Territory!
With our Arts Trail expansion breaking ground over the next few months, Godinymayin will remain a place filled with creative experiences, events, and cultural activity. During the 2022 Dry Season we presented amazing gallery exhibitions with Ngukurr, Merrepen, Waralungku, and Djilpin Arts Centres, stand-up comedy with Amy Hetherington and Kel Balnaves, and new theatre works in partnership with Artback NT. The centre also hosted ceramics workshops, a concert by Arafura Wind Ensemble, a jellyfish workshop with Aly de Groot, and welcomed almost 25,000 visitors last year.
