2022 Dry Season Opportunities

Godinymayin Yijard Rivers Arts and Culture Centre Wants You (to be part of our team)!

Katherine’s favourite arts centre, non-profit cultural facility, and community gathering place wants you! Here at Godinymayin, we’re looking for talented, creative, and responsible people to fill various casual and fixed-term roles over the 2022 Dry Season (and possibly beyond). Really fun volunteer opportunities are also available for locals with time to give, unique skill sets, and cultural interests.

The possibilities at Godinymayin range from reception, front of house, and cafe positions to gallery exhibition and event support crew. And for the right person, part-time or contracted roles might include marketing and communications, project management, and arts education/creative workshop leaders. Why not be part of our small but creative team—and help us build the most dynamic and exciting regional arts facility in the entire Territory!

We’ll tell you more about what’s coming up soon, but promise that the next four months will be filled with creative experiences, events, and fun. This Dry Season we revive our free Live in the Gallery music series, offer dynamic gallery exhibitions with Ngukurr and Djilpin Arts Centres, present comedy with Amy Hetherington, a very special musical retrospective with Toni Childs, and new theatre works in partnership with Artback NT. Godinymayin will be hosting ceramics workshops, a concert by Arafura Wind Ensemble, and the fantastic Deadly Darwin Comedy show. There’s a jellyfish workshop with Aly de Groote, an amazing ceramics installation by Dawn Beasley, and a solo show by Katherine Prize winner Laurence Rimes. And that doesn’t even scratch the surface!
