Godinymayin Yijard Rivers Arts & Culture Centre is pleased to announce the 49th Katherine Prize. The longest running visual art award in the Northern Territory returns on the Friday 1st November 2024. Visual artists working in the Northern Territory are encouraged to apply. Begin by reading the terms and conditions of entry below, then using this form to enter.

Please note the following important dates and details:

Deadline for Entry Forms – Friday 4th October 2024 at 5:00pm
Window for Artwork Delivery – Between Monday 14th to Friday 18th October 2024
Opening Night & Awards Presentation – Friday 1st November 2024 from 6:00pm to 8:00pm
Exhibition Closes – Friday 6th December 2024

Awards:

Julie and Geoffrey Newton Major Award – $5,000
Katherine Town Council Award –  $2,000
People’s Choice Award – $500
