This annual event encourages Indigenous and non-Indigenous residents of the Northern Territory to develop their art practice and showcase their skill to the region.

Over 80 people attended the opening of the 39thKatherine Prize 2014 on Thursday 7 August.

There were some wonderful works on display leading the judge Sarah Body to comment ‘In my opinion more than half the works deserved a highly commended’.

The winner of the Brian and Jeanette Lambert Art Award was Kevin N Rogers, I Can Still See.

The winner of the Dr Peter and Kathleen Short Craft Award was Eric Pokela, Art Knife.
