This month we’ve closed our doors to the public to make way for major works on the new front entrance, outdoor deck, and amphitheatre stage. We expect to remain closed for much of September, so keep an eye on our Facebook page or website for news of the re-opening. The Katherine Constructions crew is now finishing the interior framing for our new office space, located on the North side of our facilities, just off the foyer. In the coming weeks, our new cafe will be continue to appear—with its framing now in place. The stage roof—a massive fabricated structure—will be moved into place and installed over Australia’s soon-to-be newest outdoor performing arts space. 

Our team are still hard at work, securing new funding and working with Northern Territory artists and organisations on how we will activate the expanded Godinymayin come 2024. Thanks to generous grant funding from the Katherine Club and Community Benefit Fund, we will soon announce a new free beanbag cinema series for the new amphitheatre next dry season. We will keep you posted on plans for comedy, circus, live music, and much more—after the current dust settles!
