Godinymayin Yijard Rivers Arts and Culture Centre is seeking a community representative for our Board of Management.
The Katherine Regional Cultural Precinct Ltd (KRCP) is a cultural enterprise that develops and professionally manages the Godinymayin Yijard Rivers Arts and Culture Centre. The Centre is a Company Limited by Guarantee. Its Members are the Northern Land Council, the Northern Territory Government and the Katherine Town Council.
The Centre is controlled by a Board of Directors, appointed by the Members.
The Board of Management is made up of:
• Six representative Directors appointed by the Northern Land Council consisting of two from the Dagoman clan group, two from the Jawoyn clan group and two from the Wardaman clan group.
• Two representative Directors appointed by the Northern Territory Government
• One representative Director appointed by Katherine Town Council
• Three Directors selected from the general public as Community Representatives, and elected by the Member appointed Directors.
A list of the current Board Members can be seen on our Governance Page. The Board is responsible for the strategic direction of the Centre and day to day operational issues are managed by the Director and staff.
The Board of Management meets six times a year, and meetings are currently held on a Thursday from 1pm to 2pm.
