Introducing the Sunset Series: Live Music on the Godinymayin Deck. 

We ‘re shining a spotlight on local music and celebrating the incredible artists creating and performing across our region. From emerging voices to established artists, this series is all about sharing the sounds that shape our community. 

Artists will perform on our new outdoor deck area, accompanied by our licensed bar. Think live music as the sun sets, good company, chilled drinks and the kind of atmosphere that you’ll want to make The Godinymayin Deck your new go-to spot.

Holly Tapp is an Australian singer-songwriter whose music blends country roots, pop influences, and psychedelic soundscapes, inspired by her upbringing on a remote cattle station in the Northern Territory. She first learned to play guitar through School of the Air radio lessons, later studying music at Southern Cross University in Byron Bay, where she formed the Holly Tapp Duo. Holly rose to national recognition in 2014 as a semi-finalist on The Voice Australia, where she impressed audiences with her distinctive voice and heartfelt performances. Since then, she has released original music, including her 2024 single SUNSHINE BANDIT, and collaborated with artists such as The Swamp Stompers. Her songs often reflect themes of nature, love, and the raw beauty of the Australian outback.
Per Forsberg and Lucy Keough are a musical duo based in the Northern Territory, combining diverse backgrounds and shared connections to place. Per, originally from Sweden, is a tuba player, pianist, and keyboardist whose career spans classical, jazz, pop, and rock, with performances alongside artists such as Hans Zimmer, KISS, and Norah Jones. Lucy, a vocalist and songwriter from Sydney, brings a blend of contemporary and country influences, drawing on themes of identity, landscape, and community. Together, they create performances that reflect their individual journeys and a deep engagement with the stories and sound of the Top End.
Leash and The Dusty Boot(s) are Alicia Scobie (vocals/guitar), and Tim Webb (backing vocals/guitar). They play an array of original tunes that sit somewhere between alternative country, blues and folk. The band's “Tennant Creek Truths” EP was released in 2020. Written and produced whilst Leash was the 2019 Creative in Residence at the Library and Archives of the NT, it features songs that highlight the many positive stories and characters that come out of this small town in the middle of the NT. Leash and the Dusty Boot(s) are excited to be able to bring these stories and songs, plus a whole bunch more, to the Godinymayin Deck on July 25th 2025.
Guided by tenderness, curiosity, and a fierce devotion to truth, Emmy Ryan’s music lives between lullaby and reckoning. Her command of melody and emotional nuance draws listeners into musical landscapes shaped by a life lived between skyscrapers, red earth, and weatherboard towns, and her deft mandolin and guitar cradles a voice that’s at once technically masterful and emotionally raw, capable of cracking open even the most guarded heart. Emmy holds tight the conviction that we’re not meant to go it alone, that songs can build bridges, soften edges, and remind us what it means to stand together.
