Godinymayin Comedy Night with a Darwin Legend (and Child)!

Great stand-up returns to Katherine on Friday 10 June when Darwin comedian Amy Hetherington takes the stage with her latest show Crying Over Spilt Milk—fresh from winning a 2022 Adelaide Fringe Best Comedy Award!

The almost legendary comedian and new parent, with newborn in hand, will present a hilarious, full-on hour of stand-up about the joy, pain and madness of parenting. There will be stories about sleep deprivation, weird advice from strangers, sore nipples and grown adults crying over spilt milk. It’s the perfect show for Katherine’s new parents, would-be parents, or never-would-I-ever parents.

Hetherington is an incurably fun and upbeat comedian and MC from Darwin. She engages her audience with infectious energy, wit, happiness, and flair for the bizarre. Amy has performed sold-out shows at FRINGE WORLD, the Darwin Festival, Melbourne International Comedy Festival, and Adelaide Fringe. She has also supported comedy legends—including Dave Hughes, Glenn Robbins, Fiona O’Loughlin, Jimeoin, Akmal, Dave O’Neil, Greg Fleet, and Steve-O (Jackass, MTV)—and was a finalist in the 2015 Melbourne International Comedy Festival RAW Comedy Competition and was a winner of a 2019 Adelaide Fringe Weekly Comedy Award.
