Exploring guilty pleasures of the human psyche, Apologies to Roadkill: life and death in contemporary Australian art outlines vulnerability, mortality and the cyclical nature of life in works by 11 Australian artists from across the country.

Indigenous and non-Indigenous artists are represented by more than 15 works including video works, sculpture, photography and painting.Apologies to Roadkilldraws from the collections of many state institutions, including the Art Gallery of New South Wales, marking the first time the Gallery has loaned works to a cross-cultural centre in regional Australia.

Exhibiting artists include Joan Ross, Shaun Gladwell, Clementine Robertson, Jayne Nankivell, Cassandra Trevilyan-Hayes, Julie Ashley, Jeannie Imangala, Helen Aland, Linde Ivimey, Guy Maestri and Narelle Autio. Curated by Sophie Rayner.

The first visual art exhibition for 2017, Apologies to Roadkill: life and death in contemporary Australian artwill open on Friday 27 January 2017 from 6-8pm and be on display until Saturday 1 April. Opening in conjunction with K SPACE Community Gallery exhibition Jawoyn: Working our Country.
