Shaun Gladwell is an internationally-renowned contemporary artist whose body of work spans moving image, painting, photography, installation and performance events. Born in Sydney, Gladwell graduated from the Sydney College of the Arts in 1996 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts (Honours First Class). Gladwell has recently exhibited in solo and group shows internationally including at the Mark Moore Gallery, California, USA and Schunck Foundation, Bongerd, Amsterdam, The Netherlands.

Gladwell has spent time during the week in the Indigenous community of Beswick, 100km east of Katherine, and buffalo hunting with the Jawoyn Rangers and local photographer Callum Flinn. Joined by Djilpin Arts’ Tom E. Lewis and GYRACC Curator Sophie Rayner, Gladwell will discuss his art practice and his experiences ‘on country’ in Beswick and with the Jawoyn Rangers.
