Join women from Wugularr and other local communities who will share their skills in traditional weaving and use of natural dyes.
Join women from Wugularr and other local communities who have spent the week on a weaving camp. They will share their learnings and achievements with workshop participants. Participants will hear about the various stages of collecting, stripping and dyeing pandanus and will try their hand at traditional weaving and natural dyeing in a fun and friendly environment.
This workshop will also provide an opportunity to talk about issues affecting individuals, families and community such as drugs, alcohol and FASD.
This free workshop is presented over two days, Friday 4 October 10am – 4pm and Saturday 5 October 10am – 1pm. Bookings essential. Follow the link below or call the Centre on 8972 3751.
