Dr Duane Hamacher, lecturer in Indigenous Astronomy at the University of New South Wales and Senior Wardaman Traditional Owner and astronomy expert Bill Yidumduma Harney (whose work is included in the exhibition) will give an informative and colourful lecture on the stories behind the exhibition paintings.

Bill Yidumduma Harney’s intimate and extensive knowledge about Indigenous astronomy is internationally renowned. Dr Duane Hamacher is the head of the Indigenous Astronomy group at Nura Gili, University of New South Wales, the founder of the Australian Society for Indigenous Astronomy and a fellow of the Australian Anthropological Society.
