The latest K-Space exhibition is a dynamic showcase of incredible young artists—featuring visual art from the senior students at Katherine High School. Featuring recent works by year 10, 11 and 12 students, this promising collection of painting, drawing, prints, ceramics, and more offers a glimpse into the emerging artistic talent in our community. Art Teacher Mandy Tootell explains that the senior art program empowers students to explore and develop their creative skills and concepts—taught in a student-led environment that encourages experimentation, creativity, and innovation.
Stop by Godinymayin Yijard Rivers Arts and Culture Centre from 18 October to immerse yourself in a captivating showcase of young artistic talent, where each work of art reveals creativity, dedication, and imagination.
The public is invited to join the Godinymayin team and student artists for an opening reception on Wednesday 18 October from 6:00pm. The free gallery reception will include delightful cuisine thoughtfully crafted by the senior students, and acoustic sounds performed by gifted student musician, Grob Weschling Madsawing.
