A Powerful Dose of Blues and Roots for the Dry Season

Calling all Blues and Roots music fans for one night only in Katherine! Mike Elrington will be in the house! The gifted singer songwriter will bring undeniable guitar skills and deliver his signature, gut-wrenching vocals live at Godinymayin on 12 May. Tickets are available now by clicking here! Well known to audiences at some of Australia’s finest festivals—Byron Bay BluesFest, Sydney Blues and Roots Festival, and Blues on Broadbeach—Elrington has proven himself as one of the hardest-working artists on the continent. Next stop: Katherine!

The musician began his career as an 18 year old in Adelaide, and has been gaining momentum over the past decade. In 2016 he played 132 shows all over the world, signed international publishing and management deals, received national airplay on Australian TV show Neighbours (with his songs Believe and Still In Love With You).  He has supported some of Australia’s most iconic acts—Russell Morris, Diesel, Jeff Lang & Black Sorrows) and took out the prestigious Singer/Songwriter Of The Year gong at The Australian Independent Music Awards in Sydney. The following year, Elrington opened for American rock icons The Doobie Brothers in front of a sold-out room at The Tivoli Theatre in Brisbane, where the band asked him up to sing with them on their encore hit “Listen To The Music.”

The Las Vegas Weekly called his show “An eclectic, passionate and relentless mix of acoustic blues, rock and folk. This man plays and sings like wildfire.” Don’t miss Mike Elrington’s one-of-a-kind vocals, superb craftsmanship, and powerful Blues and Roots music when he takes the stage at Godinymayin on 12 May. The doors and bar open at 7pm, with the concert kicking off at 7:30pm. Click here to visit Mike Elrington’s website to learn more about his work, tour, and music-making!
