Sugarland returns to Katherine where it first began to kick off a national tour following sold out shows at the Darwin Festival in 2014 and critical acclaim for performances in Sydney.

Based on the real experiences of teenagers in Katherine NT, this exceptional, award winning play will make you laugh, cry and stay with you long after you leave the theatre.

Nina’s good at school, but that’s not important. She needs a house to live in and she needs it now.

Erica’s Dad is in the RAAF. Her life is uprooted every few years – she’s so used to being an outsider, she’s stopped trying to fit in. A moving play about friendship in unexpected places, and their power to save a life.

WINNER of Best Production for Young People, Sydney Theatre Awards

Sugarland is toured by Performing Lines for Blak Lines, and was commissioned and developed by Australian Theatre for Young People (ATYP). Sugarland is supported by the NSW Government through Arts NSW, and the Australian Government through the Australia Council for the Arts, its arts funding and advisory body.
